Other Ways to Get Involved at Messiah
Choir: Practices Sundays after the 10:30 service (Sept-May).
Mary/Martha Guild: Messiah's chapter of the Lutheran
Women's Missionary League meets the third Tuesday of every
month at 6:30 pm for devotion, fellowship, and service projects.
Elderberries: For those who are 55 years and older, the
"Elderberries" meet the second Tuesday of every month from
1-4 pm at the church for socializing, games, and special
presentations.
Acolyte Corps: Helps serve the Lord and our congregation by
lighting the candles, carrying the processional cross, and
assisting the pastor at other times during worship services.
Open to all young people from grades 5 through High School.
Call the church office if you wish to volunteer. A training
session and installation service is held in the Fall. Watch for
announcements and notices in the church bulletin and
newsletter.
Voters Assembly: Church members 18 and older are invited
to join the Voters Assembly upon reading and agreeing to the
church constitution (available upon request). The Voters
Assembly meets twice a year and at other times when
necessary
Church Council: The Church Council is the elected leadership
of the congregation, selected by the Voters Assembly. They
meet the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm.
